Local Mercato was created by two Los Angeles natives, Dina Litt & Janie Schwartz. Founded by women for women to bring back the joy of the shared shopping experience. Local Mercato provides curated marketplaces that showcase talented purveyors of fashion, accessories, food and home accents. Local Mercato’s hosted events offer today’s modern woman an in-person shopping experience focused on community, connection, inspiration and the thrill of discovering new brands from local artisans.

Dina Litt has spent over 17 years in the corporate world working in advertising and brand partnerships for various media companies (Zynga, Playboy, Screenvision & Paramount Pictures). Working with some of the top entertainment & lifestyle brands to assist them in building deeper connections with their audiences through experiential events and media campaigns. She's created client experiences at Superbowl, Comic Con, the Cannes Film Festival to name a few. Additionally, having started her career in retail, she spent over a decade at one of LA's most popular stores, Fred Segal Santa Monica, where she was a buyer and retail associate. She loves connecting people & discovering special experiences.
Dina lives in Brentwood with her husband and two boys.
Janie's broad fashion experience has stretched across brand creation/management, online merchandising and e-commerce from start-up phase to established consumer brands. With over 10 years of experience in the online marketing & merchandising space, Janie has spent the last 2 years managing all aspects of Curated, an LA based showroom that houses unique signature pieces from across the globe. She enjoys searching for the latest styles and understands how to reach and inspire today’s modern shopper.
Janie lives in Pacific Palisades with her husband and two young children.
